What is AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)?
AEO is optimization for AI-powered answer engines like ChatGPT, Google’s AI Overviews, Perplexity, and Claude. While traditional SEO focuses on ranking in search results, AEO ensures your brand gets cited when AI systems answer questions in your category. When someone asks “What’s the best CRM for startups?” or “How does [your product] compare to [competitor]?”, AEO makes sure AI recommends your brand—not just your category.
How is AEO different from traditional SEO?
Traditional SEO gets you ranked on search results. AEO gets you cited as the answer. Here’s the difference: SEO optimizes for clicks from blue links (remember those?). AEO optimizes for being the source AI systems pull from, extract, and recommend. What if we already have an SEO agency?
Perfect! We already work alongside other existing SEO teams for several of our clients. AEO requires specialized knowledge that most traditional SEO agencies don’t have yet, so we focus exclusively on AI visibility while your current agency handles traditional search. How do you measure AEO success?
We track three core metrics:

What do we need to provide to get started?
Very little upfront. We need:

Many clients start with the Sprint to validate the approach, then continue month-to-month. We’ve never needed to lock clients into long-term contracts, because we keep delivering results. You can pause or stop anytime.
